Beautiful antique German-language Methodist hymnal published in 1888 by Cranston & Stowe, Cincinnati.
Titled “Deutsches Gesang- und Melodienbuch der Bischöflichen Methodisten-Kirche.”
This 137-year-old hymnal features German hymns with musical notation, bound in what appears to be a black leather or leatherette cover with gold-gilt lettering. It includes a handwritten 1895 inscription inside — “Emma Achle, Merrie, Iowa” — adding a touch of history and charm.
